there’s been something boiling in me, dear hearts.

something pressing up and out that is too much for my skin to hold in, too big for my body to contain. it’s something living and breathing that is begging to be sent out into the world to do its work. it’s a wild creature, ready to breathe fire with us women. and it’s time.

it began to run free when I released This Holy Becoming and souls started soaking in what it means to be made in goodness and blessing, what it means to walk steady and sure in the core of who you are, what it means to be sought after when everyone else has backed off, what it means to turn the spotlight onto Divine Love by dancing free in our original True Design.

and now it’s going to be set a little more free, a little bit wilder, a little more unstoppable.

now, I found more fullness in my voice, more strength in my stance. I’ve discovered new frequencies within myself, new and exciting wavelengths on which I operate. I’ve begun to expand, to take up my own space, and to invite others in- broadening the proverbial table to which I offer them a seat.

and now, finally, I have my manifesto. I want you to grasp hold of it, to claim it as your own- just as I’ve begun to. I want us to rally together as this tribe, clinging to our manifesto with grace and kindness and bravery for ourselves and others. I want us to wave it like a flag as we run into the battle, rippling behind us in the wind.

and this is it, sweet souls: Continue reading “MANIFESTO // THIS IS WHO WE ARE”

monday mantra // imperfect is just right

hey all! it’s MONDAY again!

have you ever thought about what it is you have to offer the world? what it is that you can possibly do when you’re just trying to make it through the monday-est monday that ever way? what it is that you have in you that even matters? what it is that you could manage to give that anyone would want?

I’m WITH you there.

and thought monday is our day off over here, and tuesday is more like our monday… I’m feeling a small case of the mondays hit me today. I always get really frantic about endings and beginnings. I want them to be PERFECT. whether it’s something as simple as the end of the weekend that I feel the need to make count, or the beginning of a big trip that HAS to be JUST RIGHT, it’s something I tend to freak out over a little bit.

so this morning was a frantic “we need to make this the PERFECT DAY OFF because I’m leaving for a week and I’m going to miss you, and so it has to be PERFECT DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?

yeah. I can be a bit of a basket case.

I can obsess so hard over things being the way I imagined them in my head, and when it doesn’t work that way… I feel like I’ve let the whole world down, when in reality I’m probably the only one who notices or cares.

so today, I’m starting over, and I’m going to just let it happen and be okay with it.
I’m going to breathe into the things I want to plan every second of and just be happy that I have this monday.
I’m going to let myself accept that sometimes, imperfect is just right, and these memories will last, even if they weren’t planned.

MONDAY MANTRA // imperfect is just right

can we enter into this heart-change space of forgiving and accepting together?

can we recognize that though our offerings to the world may feel imperfect, unfinished, or battle-scarred, they are still good?

imperfect offerings are still offered. they’re still good. they still make a difference.

so let’s show up in all our imperfection, and be okay with the fact that we don’t have it all together, don’t know it all, can’t control everything. let’s embrace our imperfect humanity, and offer it anyway.

today, for our day off, J and I got coffee and then drove the 2 hours out to Hurricane Ridge. we hiked it almost all the way, and drove the twisty roads back down the mountain to flat, straight road once again.

you will only realize that this is a big deal if you are one of the few who know me well.

mountain roads terrify me. the edges of trails where you can look down the plummeting mountainside to the valley below are SCARY. and yet, I love mountains and rocks and trees. I love the wide expanse looking out over the peaks and folds of earth and soaking in the bigness of it all. but I’ve never had either the opportunity nor the gumption to hike a mountain until we moved to the Pacific Northwest.

I may have ridden in the backseat and closed my eyes during the final trek of road. I may have not made it all the way up the last nearly-vertical stretch of path. I may have not had the courage to dangle my legs over empty expanse.

but I had the courage to go. to do a thing that scared me. to look it in the face and decide the reward was worth the risk.

today was all about making the next right move in the journey to bravely become.

and that’s what matters.

Monday Mantra // bravely become

If you’re not growing- not becoming -then what you’re doing isn’t worth it. let’s carve out space for becoming this week, and continuously preach the truth to ourselves- bravely become

it’s all about breathing into the tight spaces and making more room for the person you are meant to be. it’s all about holding space for your own healing and being gentle with the process of breaking down and building up. if you’re doing that, you’re doing it right!

I wrote a whole 21-day Scripture study about this that will be available for pre-order this SATURDAY if you want to begin to make a whole-hearted commitment to this idea of becoming. I’m so excited about it all!

happy Monday, and happy new week to you all.

Today J and I are running around all of Kitsap county seeing new things, drinking coffee, and scarfing down yummy subs. It’s, well, awesome. I love days with my guy that let us just unwind and sink into each other a little more.

And I was thinking about a mantra for the day and couldn’t shake the theme of adventure, of stepping out into newness, or taking a risk.

MONDAY MANTRA: step into the new space

Each moment of every day is a chance to step into new space, to walk forward into the goodness and blessing waiting for us as creatures of our Creator, to claim new ground and take new territory- or simply begin explore it.

the exploring is just as brave as the conquering.

So let’s step forward friends… Into whatever it is that’s waiting for us!
