3 DIY coffee syrups… that take less than 10 minutes to make!

I like cinnamon.

okay, more specifically, I like starbucks’ cinnamon dolche syrup in my coffee.
uhhh… YUM!
but not just the cinnamon dolche… I’m a major fan of oh-so-classic vanilla, too! and, of course, every white girl’s favorite: pumpkin spice!!

but, what I don’t like? forking out the cash for it! 😦
seriously starbucks! you’re ripping us off!
so, I decided to take these coffee matters into my own hands.

and make my own coffee syrups!!
coffee syrups2

you heard that right!

after browsing pinterest (holla!) for several hours, and pouring over bunches of recipes, I recreated the best of them for my own coffee enjoyment! (and yours, of course!) 😉

I’ve shared the ones that will propel us best into autumn… warm and cozy flavors, reminiscent of falling leaves and knit sweaters! ❤

here are my recipes:

  1. cinnamon dolche
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 TBSP cinnamon powder
    2 cinnamon sticks
2TBSP vanilla extractput all ingredients (except vanilla) into a saucepan.
bring to a boil, then reduce heat & simmer for 10 minutes.
***consistency will be runny, not thick like syrup*** that confused me at first 😉
pour into glass jar (the kind with a pump is easiest for adding it to coffee!)
    enjoy!!

  2. warm vanilla
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup brown sugar
2TBSP vanilla extract***directions same as above***

  3. pumpkin spice
    1 1/2 cups water
    1 1/4 cups white sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    2 tsp cinnamon powder
    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    1 tsp ground ginger
3TBSP pumpkin pureecombine water & sugar over medium heat, and cook, stirring frequently, until sugar is completely melted into the water.
reduce heat, add the rest of ingredients, and simmer for 10-15mins, stirring occasionally.
    pour into glass jar.
    ***STORE IN REFRIGERATOR***

I like to add about 3-4 pumps (if using pump dispenser) or tablespoons (if storing in regular jar) to a regular size coffee (about 10-12 oz, or a tall-grande size at starbucks). yummy!! 🙂

these coffee syrups cost next-to-nothing to mix up, use things you probably already have in your pantry, and make lovely gifts (think paired with a cute mug for christmas-time!). they’re also perfect for everyday coffee-sipping, or for parties and coffee bars!
